From the start of my read, I felt the heart felt expression of the authors desire to impart a framework for success. Unfortunately for many not having the experience or the skills ie, tools to handle a relationship. Communication Skills are analyzed in scenarios where the difference between how the Male operates (in the scenario) vs. the Female is more than distinct. After reading “Relationships Never Settle “ I have to say that I am encouraged to look at the relationships in my life present and future in a different way.  I actually started by looking over the table of contents where I saw the list of chapter titles.  All of the chapter titles hit on the things that are important to me.  Then I read the intro which intrigued me further to read the rest.  Let’s say that I am not one to pick up a book and read it from front to back unless it engages me intellectually or ties me into a personal testimony.  As a guy I also don’t tend to want to read books on relationships so “ Relationships Never Settle “ was going to really need to get my attention.

After reading the intro I went back to the table of contents and found two chapters that sparked my interest, so instead of starting from front to back I started with those first.  Those two chapters were “Choosing the One” and “Intimacy.”  “Choosing the One” spoke to me especially because I tend to put others above myself because I love with my whole heart.  This chapter spoke to me because it taught me to ask questions and evaluate the other person more as to see if they match up to what I really want in my life.  Sometimes you can find yourself drawn up into emotions and never ask those important questions.  I think this will help me to evaluate the other person from the beginning to avoid wasting time with the wrong person.  “Intimacy” spoke to me personally in that it is important to build intimacy and how to maintain it. 

Over all I would highly recommend “Relationships Never Settle” to anyone who may have had prior or current relationship difficulties.  This book will help you realize your self worth as well as how to navigate the difficulties of building healthy and long lasting relationships.
